INTERVIEWER WITH THE DANCE GROUP ''WA NGAO taluna''
by Suya El Nairad co-editor

I am here today to interview the Wa Ngao Taluna dance group. I know many have heard of this tribe of brave and fearless women, and have probably even seen a great show in some Gorean city. Today we are with choreographer Ame Thomas to learn more about the formation of the group.
We have already had the opportunity to meet them at the En kara fair this year. and we have admired their dance very much. I sit with Anna in front of a cup of tea and ask him to answer some questions, so all the Planet Gor can know.

-Welcome Ame and thank you for accepting the invitation. First of all, I would like to know a little more about you, so we can talk about the origins of the group and how it all started.

- What is the name of the dance group?-

Ame: We call ourselves Wadugu Wa Dansi, but most of the time they simply call us Wa Ngao Taluna Dance Group>.

- How did it all start? Who had the idea to create a Gorean dance group?

Ame: We are a Gorean dance group, I have been in Gor since 2007, first as a kajira and then as a FW. When I came to the tribe in 2015, I was teaching FW dance at the Gorean Campus and Felicity took a number of my classes. We talked and decided it would be a great way to teach Taluna culture to other Goreans who don't know us or think we are Panthers.

- Can anyone dance in the group or is it just for tribe members? How many people have been in this group?

Ame: This is a group for members of the tribe, both Free and Slave. Over time, everyone has participated at one time or another.

- How is the group divided? Are you responsible for everything, from choreography, to scenography, to the choice of music?

Ame: You choose the music and write the choreography, the lyrics are written by the whole tribe and some have contributed solo dances. Joy created our scenography. We usually use only one scene, as all our dances remain jungle-centric.

- How does it feel to dance and perform at events, as well as create new shows?

Ame: We really enjoy the opportunity to dance at exhibitions and events. We face the challenge of the general Gorean belief that FW/FM don't dance, even though it is in the books, so we mostly do our own exhibitions and perform at En'Kara.

- What is the current lineup of the group?

Ame: Our group is made up of all the members of the tribe, Free and Slaves. Anyone in the tribe who wants to create their own dance can contact me for assistance.

I appreciate your availability, it was a wonderful interview. It was a pleasure to learn more about the dance group. Before the end of the interview, I would like to ask you for the contact details of the dance group so that everyone can know where to find you.
