 TELETUS,

CAINE STEELE & slave aurore

Interview with Sir Caine at the Ubar of the city of Teletus

I will post the interview as we chatted in the hall of honor of the city's red caste. Sir Caine is a great warrior born in the honored city of AR. After much wandering, he finally managed to rebuild the old, ruined city of Teletus.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

-Sir Cain, first of all, I wanted to know the location of the island on the map, so that the Gorean citizens know how to get there.

Gor.

CaineSteele: Teletus Island is located off the western coast of the continent, beyond the waters of Thassa. It is a small but strategic island, positioned among the scattered islands and pirate-infested waters west of Port Kar and north of the southernmost islands. Remote but well-positioned for trade and maritime control, Teletus forms a gateway between Thassa's great ocean routes and the coastal cities of the mainland, isolated enough to foster its own culture and defenses, yet close enough to remain a player in Gor's affairs. That is how we describe the location to mainlanders.

Teletus

-so you are south of the Cos archipelago?

Yes. Cos has Telnus, Selnar, and Tyros a:s their main hubs. Teletus is a standalone island just off the main continents peninsula Southeast of Cos. : Much closer to the equator than COs

-yes my oasis and on the route of your island I am south-west of the island of Landa

smiles and nods

       - are you an Ubar because you are commander of the guards, even if you are not at war with anyone?

[CaineSteele drums his fingers on the desk and considers, "I am Ubar for two reasons. Both are historical of Teletus. First, the Island of Teletus has always been an Ubarate, even at times of peace. Second, the Island of Teletus, otuside the city proper, has been a harbor for the not so civil and honorable folk." He points in the general of the direction of the cove, "Pirates, mercenaries, and the likes tend to blend in with our peasants. They will use it as a hub to raid shipping and such. We have a tumultuous relationship with them. If they are not making profit, they will try to find their way into the city to steal goods for coin, causing constant conflict with our warriors and giving our magistrates excessive amounts of work if they are caught.

CaineSteele: But, in times of real war, they understand that if Teletus is not ruled by this Ubarates, they will be massacred or exiled. So, in the event of a crisis, they can and will help defend the city.

       - yes I understand and tell me how you became a warrior you come from a family of warriors or you fought to become

CaineSteele looks back to Darian, "I was born in Ar. My father was the Commander of the tharlarion calvary and my mother was a clerk of the warriors. I was a warrior by birthright."

-I know well the value of the people of Ar even if they were often at war with the cities where I lived

-Tell me about your youth and the trips you took

CaineSteele chuckles and considers, "Sir, I am STILL in my youth. I have not traveled much except to different cities I have settled in, trying to forge my own path. As a Warrior, I collected Muse and we went on our way. Outside of Ar, we started our life in Tyros, where I was a simple Warrior performing tasks such as gate guard duty. It was the first Home Stone I swore to."

       - I know TYros sir Balrough is a friend of mine

he nods and reflects, I don't think he was there when I was there. I would be honored to meet him. I was there at the time of William and then Trent Victus.

       - I like this city, it is one of the few that respect Gor's criteria with the caste towers

sir Caine Steele

CaineSteele: Your praise of the city brings me pleasure. From the very first stone, we have striven to bring back traditional Gor, from its historical building to old Gorean customs and cultures. Gor as a society has gotten soft, and instead of trying to smooth the edges, we have tried to make them rough again.

         - yes, because I lived for many years in the city of Olni and there were the caste towers there tooleans against the table, "Aye, the towers are nice there too.

        - who helped you in the reconstruction of the city, do you have any companions or just friends

CaineSteele considers, "There is a group of us that have migrated from city to city as they have turned to dust. They are family, even if not by blood. Muse is my companion, who was once my slave. EVERY member of this city has helped in their own way to reconstruct it. Some are no longer here, but we appreciate them and consider them family just the same. Finn and Muse worked on the plans for reconstruction of the physical city. Citizens such as Abraham, Amyr and his slave Skyrn, Kati, the Regent James Boswell, the Commander Talon, all have contributed. That is what makes this city so strong. Each has been allowed to invest themselves in this city to make it thrive.

       - yes I saw some Goreans I met on my way. Sir Abraham, for example, we have known each other for some time, he does great work with libraries and once called me to give lessons to magistrates at the fair with Lady Lucy of Olni (rip)

Caine steele :Yes, Abraham has truly made the scribes here a force to be reckoned with. He is way more intelligent than I am about Gorean customs, law, etc. It is why he has earned the Head of Caste here. For where I lack, I have them to lean on to guide me.

CaineSteele smiles and takes everyone so that everyone may prosper. Cities may be enemies, but in the end, we still rely on each other. That is the essence of Teletus. Not to tear people apart but bring them together for mutual success.another sip of his blackwine, his nails digging into Aurora's scalp slowly

CaineSteele: The world of Gor has gotten smaller as time has passed. I am happy Teletus is succeeding, and we welcome all. We strive to grow Gor and see all cities succeed and thrive. Without each other, we will slowly continue to crumble to dust until Gor is no more. We look forward to working with everyone so that everyone may prosper. Cities may be enemies, but in the end, we still rely on each other. That is the essence of Teletus. Not to tear people apart but bring them together for mutual success.
