The Slave Lume
.......On my way back to the Oasis, I stopped with my
ship in the city of Degalbi. More than a city, it was a village, with many flowers and many citizens busy in the streets and at their work, many slaves, some still young and taking lessons, others already city slaves or who had their own Master. Once the ship's mooring work was finished and the papers were sorted, we disembarked to visit the city and then perhaps stop at the Inn (inn) for something good to eat and drink. These farming villages often have good meat and good Ka-La-Na or good Paga (Gorean beer), and perhaps talk to some passing sailors to find out the latest news on the cities of the Sea of Thassa, and any potential threats of war between tribes.
We toured the village, my escort, and the ship's captain. A small stream ran through the plain that stretched from the hills to the sea, flowing into a small waterfall near the port. Some fishermen sat patiently on the shore, waiting for the fish to bite, while in the nearby arena, some warriors were training.
During the tour, we met Sir Turbo, the first sword of Degalbi, who welcomed us, and then Sir Hugh, the village scribe. We chatted a bit about the latest news, and I told him about my journey from my oasis to the city of Egeria for the meeting of the Ubar of Gor. He seemed very interested, much more so than the city administrator, who dismissed us with a few words. Bringing his two slaves with him, we didn't pay attention. I wanted to ask him for a job, I wanted to stop to rest and delay my return home as long as possible, like Ulysses, a hero of planet Earth, who sailed, eluding the route home, despite being a King like me.
In the fairly crowded inn, we found a seat near some free men who were chatting among themselves. We introduced ourselves and greeted them, then everyone went back to chatting among themselves. Many slaves were in the tavern, some following the Masters, others serving the customers. One in particular caught my attention, a small, red-haired slave named Lume, wearing the white dress of virgin slaves that barely covered her body, exposing her beautiful breasts. Despite her not being very slender, her back was completely bare, revealing a round, firm butt. What most turned me on were her silent, sensual movements. She slid among the guests, serving and asking for orders, while the tavern mistress watched her sternly.
When she saw me, she left all the other guests behind and rushed toward me. She saw my Magistrate's dress, and as we know, magistrates are of the High Caste and are served first. I asked her for some ta-tharna to drink, some bosk meat to eat, and some biscuits. She rushed to the kitchen, carrying out the order, and shortly thereafter, Lume returned with the tray, serving me while still ignoring the other customers. After serving me, she stopped by my side, waiting for further orders. I couldn't stop admiring that little slave with her fiery red hair and her big, hard breasts,
I often intentionally touched them. I asked her if she was from the planet Earth, because red-haired women were usually taken from there by slavers. Instead, she told me that she was born in Gor, in a small village, the daughter of city slaves who lived in their caravan. She had been sold at the age of sixteen by her family to a rich merchant who always took her with him on his travels, but one day, shortly before arriving in Degalbi, her master, was attacked in the forest on the edge of the city and killed. Luckily, the guards patrolling outside the walls arrived and dispersed the bandits. They took little Lume to the Kennel before she was taken over by the innkeeper, in agreement with the manager, and put to work serving the customers. She told me, "I'm happy living in the inn, better than being a slave to some gruff old warrior who uses his whip as his words."
I was stunned by that story, but for her, life had been easy, unlike other slaves, who were sometimes forced to dance until they were exhausted and then lie with the customers or their Master all night. I told little Lore to return to her work, and after dinner we returned to the ship.
The next morning, there wasn't much to do on the ship. The sailors were cleaning, others were sorting out the cargo. So I decided to go ashore. I was intrigued by the men's fishing on the river. When I reached a point where the river was slowing, I asked a fisherman if he could buy a rod so I could try it too. He gave me his, telling me that when I got tired of leaving everything on the shore, while I was fishing, the slave Lume arrived and knelt down beside me, telling me that she was free at that hour. She had swept the table.
There were no customers. She looked at me with interest and said she'd never tried fishing. I encouraged her, gave her a rod, and explained the movements. It didn't take her long to learn and she was fishing as happily as ever.
But by then it was time to leave, and after setting up the rods on the riverbank, I returned to the ship, saying goodbye to little Lume.
