                  ATTAC AT RANIR UBAR

I had settled in the village of Ranir on the delta of the Worsk river, I liked those simple but hardworking people, at the same time I had fallen in love with little Suya, a beautiful and tireless Farmer with gentle features with a marked Northern accent, with hair as red as fire and eyes hidden by her small glasses that could be glimpsed clear and bright.

I asked Sir Fred the Administrator to court her, she is alone and he is her protector by law, Sir Fred was enthusiastic to entrust her to me by tying me to the village as Scribe and Magistrate, and so it was that after some time we were already talking about preparations for our company ceremony, I noticed that she was increasingly interested in my office work, she was happy when I entrusted her with some translations or to keep the archive in order, I then proposed to her to become an apprentice Scribe, I had seen in her a potential for skill, she happily accepted, she followed me everywhere with her pen and her rolls ready for notes.

But something changed the course of life in the village of Ranir, a strange individual arrived at the port with his ship, he was a shady Pirate in search of fortune without earning it, he often wandered around the streets and taverns asking for information on the progress and management of the administration, it did not take long to understand that Sir Fred The administrator was often busy with his work, and it would have been easy to eliminate him to take possession of the village, it has already happened in the village of Hammersgaard where I lived that the pirates attacked the village destroying it and killing many people, because it was not well protected as Ranir is with its high walls made with palisades of pointed trunks, they would have hardly conquered the village by attacking it, the Pirate was not stupid he would have lost many men, so one day while he was as usual in the tavern, he met a slave who served at the tables, he told him about treasures and travels and the life he could have as a free man, this was repeated for a few days until one evening when the tavern was half deserted, he proposed to the slave to kill the administrator sir Fred in exchange he would give him freedom promising him lands and gold plates.

The slave at first gave rope to that Pirate, then rushed to his master and told him the fact, sir Fred told him not to talk to anyone about this and to accept the promises of the Pirate, he in the meantime called the Pisychian lady Pattsy, told him of the attempted murder by the pirate by the slave, she prepared a secret potion that made the temporary death of whoever drank it, then they called the slave and told him to serve it at Fred's table, in the evening the slave arrived as usual in the presence of so many people served the wine to his master who after a few minutes after drinking it collapsed to the ground lifeless.

Pisychian was present and ordered to take him to the infirmary and we all breathlessly waited for the result of the visit, shortly after the soldiers arrived who captured the slave taking him away and the commander said that Sir Fred was dead, everyone was crying and despairing, Lady Pattsy sent for me taking me to a secret place where I met Sir Fred, they told me about the pirate, simulating death they waited for him to enter the city with his men to capture him and execute him.

One morning while everyone was at work they sneaked into the central square and set fire to the stalls and everything they found on their way, the Commander with his men hidden behind the houses captured the pirates, while we with the slaves and the citizens helped put out the fire, but there was no trace of the Pirate who had disguised himself as a merchant and had escaped capture, in the meantime the council of elders appointed Sir Hassan as temporary administrator pending new elections, even though I and a few others knew that by now the pirate had escaped Sir Fred would return to the village.

One morning we met him in front of the infirmary together with Lady Pattsy who were discussing Sir Hassan's ceremony with Lady Pitty, we were all happy to still have him with us..........continue

 MARRIAGE IN RANIR VILLAGE

One day while I was working in the office with my apprentice Scribe lady Suya, sir hannan and lady Pitty showed up at the door, they were beaming, holding hands, and shyly entered still holding hands they said they wanted to ask me how they could become companions in life, I looked at them smiling, and I looked at my Suya with whom I have a courtship contract and I hope to make her my companion as soon as possible.

I told them that I would prepare the documents and post the news in the village square so that everyone would know, in the meantime I would ask lady Pattsy to take care of the preparation of the place for the celebration, also we would ask sir Fred returned unharmed from the Pirate's attack, to arrange a space to set up the altar and the chairs for the guests.

sir Hannan lady Pitty

I told Hannan and Pitty to come back the next day for the signing of the preliminary contract, then we would decide the date, and so it was, the next day they showed up at the office of the Scribes' house and patiently waited for me to fill out the certificate that they would sign during the ceremony, they told me the certain date and that is: 8th month-2nd hand-10176, AR time, (26-10-2024 earth time) the ceremony would take place at sunset on the island that faces the harbor, sir Fred had kindly ordered the builders to prepare the area and lady Pattsy, had furnished.

The ceremony would have been that of the exchange of cups of wine, normally used in the center of the Planet, without opting for that of the veils or that of the ribbons or that of the north of the exchange of wine in front of a fire, We all waited with great anxiety for the day, which finally arrived the whole village was in excitement the Kajires dancers arrived who would have cheered the evening and many friends from everywhere, slowly the village filled with people and at the appointed time we all went to the island where we would celebrate.

sir Fred lady Pattsy
The Company ceremony took place in an orderly fashion the spouses were excited the bride blushed every time she had to say something but looked at Hassan with bright eyes and full of tears of happiness, while in the sky the three moons illuminated the happy faces of all the bystanders, there were no clouds that evening and the starry sky seemed to wish so much happiness.

THE TRUE STORY OF THE EMIR

PART 5 arrival in Port Kar The old merchant took a breath, looked at my face, then raised his gaze to the sky. I looked at the three high, bright moons and after taking another sip of his Ka La Na I continued. Emir Darian could not rest, he continued to question the citizens, no one had seen or heard anything, he looked at the house of his beloved Blue, climbing the path to reach her home, and his heart sank, he had lost a love that had just blossomed, he often asked me if as a Merchant I had known something, but no one could tell me anything about it. After some time when everything seemed to be back to normal in the city something happened that changed the history of Landa, one afternoon while everyone was at work someone saw a half-naked armed woman coming out of the perfumery, she looked like a Panther, then wandering between the buildings, and the tents, they warned the guards at the gate and sent a slave to the Magistrate's office to tell him what had happened, he ran down and met the Commander of the guards while he was inspecting the surroundings of that perfumery, when Darian rushed together with some guards into the perfumery, he had the Perfumer blocked and after a careful search they found a small door behind a shelf, the guards opened it and followed that dark corridor until they emerged behind some baskets in the large warehouse that had access from the port, the Commander organized a control expedition of the territory around the walls, until he found and chased some women who disappeared into the forest, he together with many men was determined to capture and eliminate those Panthers. Meanwhile, Magistrate Darian was at the gates with some slaves and some guards, suddenly they saw a Tarl coming from the sky with a warrior riding it, without getting off or stopping it flew away before the archers could pierce it, Darian did not pay attention to it but still warned Lady Zypero of what had happened, the next morning the sky darkened, while Darian was heading towards the office, a multitude of grim warriors were riding their Tarls coming down outside the gate, killing everyone they found on their way, they had taken advantage of the unguarded garrison to attack us destroying and burning everything, Darian took his slave with him remembering the secret passage inside the now empty perfumery he walked along that corridor emerging at the port far from the gates, he got on a small boat and escaped on the river towards the sea on the beach side, when he was in the high seas a ship of one of the Captains of Port Kar took him on board, Magistrate Darian told everything to the Captain who seemed very worried.. warriors torvie so far from their land that they had destroyed a great rich and flourishing city, he told Darian that he was returning to Port Kar and could take refuge in his city as long as he wanted, he was one of the Twelve Captains and was under his protection. They went up the Thassa to the gulf and then into the delta until they reached that city inhabited by criminals, thieves, murderers and outlaws, the Magistrate Darian was welcomed by the head of the Scribes, he spent his time in bed with the slaves in the tower, offering him a job as a Lawyer, Darian accepted immediately without knowing that in that city there were no laws and therefore there could be no Magistrates or Lawyers, but he wanted to rest, catch his breath, and decide on the future, he rented a gloomy house without windows at the end of the canal that crossed the city from one side to the other, he began to look around.

 ARRIVAL AT RANIR'S VILLAGE

Autumn is now upon us so I decided to return to the oasis, I wouldn't want to spend another winter stuck in the North covered in snow drinking and eating in the great Hall.

After saying goodbye to all my friends and especially to the beautiful Nani, the daughter of the king of Lindergerg, who became Pantera, who now lives on the mountain with her friends, we waited for the high tide and left that small port hidden among the fjords, heading south, without moving away from the coast, these days Pirates attack ships and villages in search of free merchandise and slaves to sell in Port Kar.

The wind from the North pushed us slowly, without having to set many sails, I had left everything in the village, I didn't have a companion or any slaves, so I didn't have any problems, I had been alone for a long time, since my Harmony had disappeared together with our child in her womb and my slave Shaila.

The commander came to my cabin to show me a new map he had bought in the village, he said that not far away there was a new village unknown to us, where they speak a particular dialect, we could take advantage of it to stock up on water and fresh products from the farms, after carefully studying the map I said that we could stop for a few days.

So it was, two days later we came into sight of that unknown village, it had a small port with small ships moored, we barely moored between two piers, and together with an escort guard I went down to that dock to head to the village located on a hill reachable by a narrow and impervious path, finally I reached the gates of those palisades used as surrounding walls, at the gate a warrior welcomed us, taking us to the Ubar chief of the village, Sir Fred who was leaving at that time, he said that we could stay as long as necessary, he called a slave to take us around and talk to the healer in charge of welcoming visitors lady Pattsy, together with her we visited the huts used as caste offices, strangely in that village despite being in the north it had the castes as they are used in the rest of the Planet.

When I showed them their big farm I had the chance to meet the Farmer lady Suya, a not very tall woman with a peasant hat, with fine features and a fair complexion despite spending her days in the sun, I immediately liked that woman, she was very serious and prepared in her work and suffered loneliness as I did, I had the chance to meet her again that day at the market, she showed me her house and the house with the attached office of the Scribe, who left to reach the South and never returned, even if his things were still there, I beg you to stay in the village, she would have spoken to Sir Fred to replace the Scribe also working as a Magistrate, my curiosity for that place led me to stay, so I had my few things disembarked and told the Captain to return to the South before winter arrived, and so it was.

LADY SUYA
I had the chance to meet that woman again having tea together in the afternoon and eating at the Inn in the evening, one word led to another we fell in love,

a few days later Sir Fred returned and asked him permission to court Suya, he was happy and gave me the office to work as Scribe and Magistrate, but while we were all eating together at the table in the Inn Sir Fred collapsed to the floor, they took him to the infirmary while the Commander of the warriors captured the slave who had served him the poisoned mead, I didn't know what to do everyone was running back and forth and I thought it best to go back to the ship to be sure I wouldn't get into trouble.

SIR HASSAN
The next morning I returned to the village but everything seemed calm despite Sir Fred's death, I met Lady Pattsy, who took me aside and told me the true story. He told me that a Pirate had paid the slave to poison the Ubar, the slave accepted but very faithful to the Ubar told him about the Pirate who was waiting for his death to attack the village and conquer it to then destroy it, promising the slave freedom, then in all secrecy the Ubar pretended to be dead hiding in the caves under the mountain, leaving, that the council of the elders appointed sir Hassan new Regent, so as not to leave the command of the village empty in the meantime they wait for the Pirate to arrive to fight and destroy the village of Ranir

I was given the task to work as Scribe and Magistrate and I validated the appointment of the new Regent, and I made myself available for the defense of the village, but another fact happened there was a fire in the square, a blaze fueled by the wind burned some stalls of nwrcanti and other objects nearby and I worked together with the others to put out that fire, in the meantime I court the beautiful Suya, I promised her to take her to the oasis of the seven palms to introduce her to my people and she accepted, we will leave as soon as everything is calm and the pirate is defeated.

THE TRUE STORY OF THE EMIR

PART 4 -

Life in the land I saw a certain happiness in the Emir's eyes, everything seemed to be going as he expected, he had been telling me for a long time that his dream was a big city where he could live and practice the profession of his caste, and now the opportunity had presented itself in this beautiful Island.

We crossed that little bridge where the path that led to the nobles' villas started, Lady Blue showed us her house, the first on the right then making our way we climbed that little hill and at the top there was the emir's villa, a beautiful house in Arab style, with arches and domes, and a breathtaking view you could see the sea on every side and the city at our feet.

Lady Blue after showing us the inside of the house went away, saying that she had some work in the infirmary but that she would be happy to meet Darian as soon as he was settled, in the meantime the slaves had brought our boxes with clothes and books and the material necessary for personal care, I as a person following the Magistrate had been assigned one of the many houses on the bank of the river that crosses the city, in the sandy area, before the docks for unloading goods begin.

The next morning I was sitting on a bench outside my house waiting for Magistrate Darian, I saw him come down that path happy and cheerful for having finally slept on a comfortable bed, after many days of traveling on that stinking ship of Pirates, with the Urts running around on the deck and in the holds, he asked me if Lady Blue had come out. I replied that since dawn I had been sitting outside but no one had passed by, except the commander who lived alone on the hill near us, he thoughtfully said we will wait for her here, he will be our guide to know the roads to get to the palace of the castes.

Lady Blue arrived, she was splendid in her green healer's dress, she had not put on her veil, and her beautiful face caught Darian's gaze, she stood up and ran towards him, helping her cross that little bridge and happily wished him good morning, asking her to accompany him on those new streets, the night before there had been no way to memorize them, she showed us the best street that ran alongside a large palace, surely of some rich merchant, then a beautiful fenced garden with a large fountain and at the end a winter garden with many flowers and plants, we passed a small square with enormous columns that overlooked on one side a canal that brought water to the center of the city, at the end of the street we finally arrived in the central square, Lady Blue said goodbye to us and headed to the infirmary in the corner opposite the caste palace, with its huge staircases, I left Darian and headed to the port to register as a merchant, while he went up to the floor where there were the Scribes' offices waiting to be received by the Ubara or from the head of the caste and take possession of his office.

I found the Emir sitting on a cushion under the large tent, with him a man with a very dark complexion and armed with a shield and sword, I greeted and sat down in a corner, the Emir told me that he was the companion of the Ubara lady Zypera, and that his name was Sir Youroki, he was the builder of the city, and from what I had seen he had done a great job, we drank some good tea brought by a slave and after the introductions and a few words of ritual we got up and headed towards the part of the square occupied by the many shops, stopping at that of the perfumer, a comely woman, who knew how to convince customers, and she sold the Emir some perfumes that for me smelled but that she said women liked, then walking along those large columns interspersed with large palm trees we arrived at the infirmary where lady Blue was busy preparing some bandages in case they were needed by the warriors, at that time the Torvie warriors, often tried to land with their Tarl on the island, we waited for him to finish his work, he checked the few sick people then he went out and together we headed to the tavern for our lunch, it was all new to us but we would soon get used to it.

Darian, you could see from a mile away that he had a crush on that beautiful woman, even if not very tall but well built with an angel's face, he looked at her in ecstasy and smiled at every word, and when he learned that his family had been kidnapped by the panthers the year before he cried with her.

Meanwhile a slave came running to warn Darian that the Ubara was waiting for him in his large office in his palace, he greeted Lady Blue and set off with the slave towards that palace, Lady Zypera welcomed him with all the honors, she had heard about him and was happy that he wanted to live with them and work as a magistrate, the head of the Scribes was away for meetings with his colleagues in the distant city of Tor

THE TRUE STORY OF THE EMIR

RARIUS YUROKI

part 3-Landa the city with golden domes

The old merchant paused, took the water bottle from the belt of his robe worn by time and dirty by the desert sand, looked around, turning his eyes towards infinity, as if he wanted to peer beyond that sky, then calmly said: I will not tell you about the long journey by ship towards the South but only about the arrival on that island with its great city, shining with buildings with golden domes.

We arrived at the port early in the morning, many people were already crowding the docks, in the distance after long walkways you could glimpse the walls with their very high gates, along the stretch of road that led to the entrance many crosses with the corpses of criminals or certainly thieves, placed there to discourage any ill-intentioned people.

I remember the Emir telling me: here we are just travelers looking for a home and a job, so forget my title, from today I will only be a Scribe-Magistrate, having said that I sent myself on a scouting mission to see if we would be welcome, I told the guards at the gate that my lord would like to meet the Regent or the Ubar of the city, I told them that having escaped the flood on the island of Svago, Sir Darian was looking for a new home and a job in the offices of the scribes, a guard heard of the arrival of a Magistrate and ran to call the Commander, he was about to go outside the walls to patrol the surrounding area, they said that some Panthers had been seen wandering near the warehouses of the port, he stopped for a few minutes talking to Darian explaining to him that the palace of the Scribes was at the end of the colonnade, on the large square where a tent had been raised in the center to protect the citizens or merchants from the scorching sun, and went away ordering a guard to accompany us to the Palace.

The palace was majestic with large staircases, on each floor were the offices of the Castes. Naturally those of the Scibi were on the penultimate floor, there were marbles and friezes everywhere, it was like entering a fantasy world. Darian looked around happy to have chosen the island of Landa as a destination, the guard accompanied us to the large hall with a fountain in the center, where the majestic doors to access the offices overlooked, I knocked in vain on the door of the head of the Caste, perhaps it was too early for work, the guard called a slave and ordered us to visit the city while waiting for the Ubara to be available, when Darian asked the name of that woman the guard said her name is Lady Zyphera Kimono, her companion the Warrior Builder was called Sir RariusYuroki, of course he said the city is large with a thousand problems and it is difficult for her to have time but she receives the nobles of the high Caste in the afternoon before the sun sets.

Darian was a little annoyed, but he knew well that in big cities everyone is busy with their work, the slave took us around among the marble colonnades and the many flower gardens and very tall palm trees that gave a little shade from that scorching morning sun, the slave left us under the large tent in the square where the many shops crowded with people and merchants overlooked, and went away to prepare us an adequate and quiet accommodation, before leaving he said to the Emir, I will find you a house outside the walls on the residential island where only the nobles of high Caste can access by crossing the river from a walkway that starts from the beach up to the top of the hill, he said I remember that the last Magistrate left it empty before leaving, but the furniture is there, he ran away quickly due to disagreements with the Commander.

We sat down waiting for the oven slave to come and take the orders, the voices of those people became more and more insistent but Darian didn't seem to notice, until finally someone arrived, she was a splendid woman dressed in green, definitely a Healer, she sat on a cushion on the other side of the table leaving the escort outside, Darian had sparkling eyes, that woman with her green dress with gold embroidery and her veil also gold, haughty elegant but at the same time polite, she greeted Darian with a smile introducing herself, I am lady Blue she said, I am the Pysichian of the city, I have no family anymore, my companion died at sea during a trip while my two daughters are far away with their companions, she willingly agreed to accompany Darian to the house that had been assigned to him upon request made by the slave at the builder's office, she stood up begging Darian to follow her.

We walked through half the city until we reached the small houses of the citizens along the sandy bank of the river, until we reached that footbridge, which gave access to the road that went up the hill and at the top, the slave said, was our new house.

THE TRUE STORY OF THE EMIR

Part 2

Sitting around that fire I listened to the words of that old man that I had never met or known but who knew my brother Darian well, which made me quite nervous and annoyed, someone knew my brother more than me. It was terrible, however I came out of my silence introducing myself as Orlando the brother of the Emir, I asked that old man to tell me everything he knew about my brother, he looked at me through his old eyes surrounded by wrinkles, while he sipped his water taken from his canteen.

Even the other men who shared that fire with us and the wine that a woman brought us every time, were very curious to know the adventures of Darian, his name echoed in the desert reaching up to the far north and the vast plains that lead to the Sardar.

The man who said his name was Sven and that he was one of the greatest blacksmiths on the Planet, had followed the Emir on all his travels, since the first day he arrived in the small town of Falswort, he was still young and recently graduated as a Scribe and a Magistrate-Lawyer, he was a tall, handsome young man with his long blond hair, and immediately made an impression on the women especially on the companion of Ubar sir Ming, lady Chiara her name, +one could imagine that the two liked each other every time they met with their languid glances, but Darian was still young and serious, he wanted to make a career and become a Cartographer, he was very good at drawing maps taking inspiration from the news that the Merchants passing by gave him, and sometimes even from Bedouins in the desert for a fee.

Everything was fine until one day a slaver brought to the city an amber-colored slave, tall and beautiful with prominent breasts and long legs, Sir Ming wanted that slave and fell in love with her, and after the demonstrations of Lady Chiara, with her sister Lady Betty the Farmer, Sir Ming became very angry and chased both Lady Chiara and her sister out of the city, I had forgotten that strangely Darian had also fallen in love with that black slave, and for this reason he suffered a lot in seeing her with the Ubar, and in the end he followed the women into exile.

Lady Chiara had an older sister who lived in the north and precisely in Windermeer, so after a few months of travel they arrived at her, the two women settled in well, they found their home in a large well-furnished cave, while Darian was assigned a shack on the edge of the village, in the North there are no castes, and the Tatrix told him that if he wanted to live with them he had to work in the fields together with Betty, but he got angry, took his things and left with the first ship to reach the desert, going down the coast he stopped in the archipelago of Cos and precisely in the village of Edalgo, he had the job of Magistrate and a small office, but in that village they were also dedicated to agriculture, and he was offered to become Magistrate of the merchants, but he suffered that small semi-deserted village where the slave of the Ubar a certain Rosy, commanded her master in secret, and soon revealed himself to be a bitter enemy of the Emir, and he had no choice but to leave again.

From Cos to the island of Svago the distance was short but on the other hand Svago was a large city on two levels with many slaves and many trades, so he decided to stop, he introduced himself to the head of the Scribes who welcomed him with honor without telling him that in the caste he was the only man the other scribes and magistrates were all women who did not give him space in the work leaving him always out of any of their interventions, so he spent his time going from one Inn to another and from one Kennel of slaves to another there were three in the city, also on the hill where they grew grapes there was a cellar where he often stopped to drink.

One day that cellar caught fire, while Darian was sitting outside at a table, and he miraculously survived, he did not go to that hill again, until winter arrived a strong storm came from the north. black clouds that were gathering and a persistent rain was beating on the roofs, it had been raining for days now everyone was desperate, the water like a waterfall was coming down the stairs of the plateau of the castes, and the city was sinking more and more under that rain, many drowned if they left their houses, the Ubar gave the order to evacuate the city and ordered the citizens to leave the island reaching the ships at the port.

also Darian together with other scribes and slaves went down, conquering a place on a smelly ship, while many slaves and farmers fell into the sea trying to climb the gangway made slimy by the rain, then finally we left, there was no fixed destination but we were looking for a place to wait for the end of the rain, until we spotted a deserted island in the archipelago, in that area it was not raining anymore, so the Ubar gave the order to stop and go down to the beach.

THE TRUE STORY OF THE EMIR

Part 1

My name is Orlando, of the el Nairad family, our millenary lineage lived as nomads in the desert for centuries, until our father Pasha Darian el Nairad I*.

He stopped in an unknown oasis outside the Shendi forest on the way to the great city of AR, the family was composed of our mother Shaila and us two children, Darian II* and I his younger brother Orlando, together with other members of the family with their loved ones, dedicated to herding and selling the skins and wool of the Veer (sheep of the Earth) our father took my name by reading the adventures of warriors written in the books brought from the planet Earth.

After the destruction of the oasis by the Desert Raiders along with the Talunes who lived on the edge of the forest, we little ones unable to defend ourselves were saved by a faithful slave, who hid us in a basket and pretended to be dead until everything was over, she took us by joining a caravan of Bedouins headed to Shendi, we arrived in the city of Korat, she introduced herself to the Ubar begging him to welcome us into the city saying that we little ones were the descendants of the Pasha Darian I*, he took our story and the fortunate escape to heart and entrusted us to his trusted builder sir Mith Arliss, who with his companion lady BB arliss, lived then in the growing city.

Sir Mith entrusted us to Notary Scorbuticus, to start us towards the knowledge of the scribes, our childhood was not very happy, at that time the city of Korat a fortress located on the promontory overlooking the port of ship Rock, we spent time on that tower where our tutor got lost among a thousand parchments covered in dust, explaining new things to us every time, he taught us to read and write, to do sums and entrusted us with small simple practices such as making contracts with merchants or ship captains.

Meanwhile we were growing up, we were no longer children but strong and courageous boys, the nomadic blood of the desert made us tough, our adoptive mother Lady BB, was enthusiastic about us, even sir Mith who to tell the truth we saw little, he was always busy with large constructions in the city and in the surrounding area, the fortress of Korat was rather gloomy and gray the streets always deserted, the only livable place was the palace of Ubar, but we did not go there often, we preferred to go down to the port of Ship Rock and admire the ships arriving and departing, or go to the village following the road where many fishermen sat waiting for their prey.

One day lady BB took us to her companion. we brought him clean clothes and spare food, it was a real stroke of luck because that day the fortress thanks to some panthers infiltrating the city opened the secondary doors letting their tribe of warriors attack the palace destroying the entire city killing most of the population, taking away with them only the children, the Panthers use the children as students the females and as procreators and workers the male slaves.

You could see the flames rising in the sky above the promontory, everyone ran for cover, and many escaped towards the city of Baku. Sir Mith also collected the few things he could and we set off towards that city along the sea, but on the road we met some people who advised us not to go there because in Baku there was typhus and many were dying,

luckily there were some merchants heading to the desert who welcomed us with them and we set off towards the unknown for us, without a home and without anything but our lives.

The destination would have been AR, but it was at war with the city of Tor eternal rivals, so the caravan went towards the south east, until we were in sight of a fortified city, a merchant who had a map told us that it was Cartassa, a flower bloomed in the great desert of Thahari, we introduced ourselves to the guards as refugees and immediately the houbara at that time lady Safina, welcomed us with honors being lady BB a great Scribe and sir Mith one of the greatest builders of the planet Gor, I Orlando with Darian, after a while we were sent to the great city of Olni, where there was the great school for Scribes, directed by lady Lucy Bronet, and by lady Janette Inglewood that's how at the Olni campus we studied for a few years to become Scribes, magistrates and lawyers becoming the best students of the school, after the degrees, I took the place of Magistrate in Olni while Darian preferred to return to Cartassa, he wanted to see our adoptive mother again and his companion Sir Mith, it was a painful farewell, we promised to meet often, but life had many difficulties in store for us and we would never see each other again, even if we went from city to city, or in the villages in the north.

Now I sit here around this fire where an old merchant told me that he would tell the story of the great Darian The Emir.

 Lady Athena (athenayiyi):

There was once a man from the planet Gor.

Who lived a wonderful life with the women he adored.

His clothing was blue, prestigious and refined.

His character was Honorable, respectful and kind.

He wrote many stories of the lives

they shared and the cities of glory when he resided there..

. He traveled from north to east and south to west in ceaseless pursuit

a Gorean scribe in his quest.

.. Journeys of Wonder He followed what seemed impossible...

The Scribe and his tablet of enchanted dreams..

  HEMBER KONDOR

CLOSING OF THE EXHIBITION ''CHARACTERS''

Concert by singer Abby Jadov

Award ceremony of the poetry competition on the theme of the exhibition

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

finally the time has come to fly to the land Serena Art Center, I will have the opportunity to see Vita Theas and Bella Allure again, who together with the great artist Hermes Kondor organized a great event that saw the participation of hundreds of people interested in art.

Bella & Hermes
After greeting everyone including the Artist I saw the paintings on display again, captivating and hard to forget they marked a point in my heart.

Vita Theas was already there with her faithful Wolf. Bella too, but as usual she was going around welcoming people and greeting everyone.. Bella is tireless and is also a good manager.

VITA THEAS
Finally the concert began, a very good singer named Abby Jadov would perform on stage live with her guitar, it was a great surprise her melodies were captivating and retraced the best years of music.

ABBY JADOV
I looked around for some familiar face but there were too many people I couldn't recognize anyone, finally the Countess arrived, a great friend of ours, a writer who never misses the events, even if I take her precious time away very soon.

LADY HAIKU

At the end of the concert Mrs. Haiku, the first judge and a great world artist, was called on stage, and after a short introduction and a thank you from Sir Hermes Kondor, they finally opened the envelopes with the names of the winners.

I never expected that I, Darian el Nairad, would win the first prize, with my poem in the competition. I was quite excited, when I went up on stage to receive the cash prize and the winner's certificate,

DARIAN el NAIRAD
Vita was also very happy about this, as an Italian I had perhaps made some spelling mistakes in translating into English but I had certainly hit the nail on the head and understood the true meaning of the exhibition.

I thank all those who participated and I thank the organization of the competition including sir Hermes Kondor, unfortunately my connection was not very happy, but on the other hand I was happy to have participated, I hope soon there will be new exhibitions because many love art and go with pleasure to the exhibitions of great artists
