Thassa's Bounty Festival at Port Shadows February 13-15, 2026

Thassa tides turn toward celebration! Port Shadows celebrates the first feast of the year with a three-day festival honoring the bounty from the forests and Thassa. Icy waters gradually break up, stimulating migrations below the surface. On land, the forests begin to thaw with flora and fauna ready for the sun. 

During this time of nature's awakening, we honor the old gods by sharing in the bounty with feasting, a brewfest, multi-day market and contests. Competitions require a variety of skills for success in hunting, gathering, cooking, brewing, and the new favorite, Boat Battles.

Starting at first torchlight, Thassa's Bounty Festival will open with a market roaring to life. This feast for the senses lies under an air thick with spice, smoke, and song. Strolling past the overflowing stalls entices you to haggle, taste, toast, and trade the treasures and harvests found in Thassa and the Northern Forests.

The Harvest Market will run the entirety of the festival, 

Starts: 12am SLT Friday Friday 13th

Ends: 4pm (16:00) SLT Sunday Feb 15th

==FRIDAY - BOUNTY OF THE HUNT==

🌿  Herb Hunt

The lands of Port Shadows are populated with many types of herbs used for medicinal and culinary applications. The goal of the Herb Hunt is to locate and collect the 20 herbs the fastest. Contest will begin 10am Friday and end when someone has found all 20.

Prizes for most found

1st Place - L$500 & 5 random recipes

2nd Place - L$250 & 3 random recipes 

3rd Place - 3 random recipes 

List of all recipes that can be made from the Port Shadows Herbs will be given to the first person collecting all 20..

        [[The Herb Hunt uses our unique Illness & Remedy RP System. Herbs are harvested, giving an item that will expire after time. Through roleplay, you can learn the recipes to use inside a mixing bowl from the Herbalist Shop. A successful attempt will result a potion to heal you from an illness acquired while visiting Port Shadows, or for your own roleplay.]]

🏹 Jarl's Hunt

Nothing says spring in the forests than a hunt! Armed with just a bow, how many beasts can you take down when it counts? Several beasts will be released into an arena with the hunters which will include tarsk, tabuk, and anything else ferocious that can be wrangled.

Winner of the hunt will have received the most points for bagging the beasts. They will receive keepsake trophy, and sit in the seat of honor at Sunday's feast as provider of the feast.

Top three hunters will receive a bow from Arcanus Insula.

🍞 Perfect Pairings Cooking Showdown

FAVORITE DUOS take the spotlight in the two day Spring Cooking Showdown! 

Watch as Gor’s finest culinarians battle for glory the first day, and taste their creations to help decide a winner! Fierce competition will end with the victor named ! Hopes will rise like a soufflé, but only one will not fall flat.

 

DAY ONE - Two sessions will be held for contestants to test their knowledge of food and preparation, earning extra points in judging. Either session can be attended for a bonus to the judged vote. It is not required to participate in Day 1 to be part of the judging on Day 2.

DAY TWO - Contestants will prepare samples using a popular combination of food with a public tasting and vote. A combination of Day 1 bonuses, public popular vote and judged voting will determine the winner.

Competitors should prepare a sweet or savory dish with one of these favorite food pairings:

==SATURDAY - BOUNTY OF LOVE==

⛵   SWEETHEARTS SMALL BOAT ROYALE 

The waters of Port Shadows will become a battleground as small boats filled with fighters compete for last standing. 

The waters of Trigger Reef will be used for this fight. Each boat will have one driver, a non-fighter, and one fighter armed with a bow. (Singles may be paired with others.)

Everyone will use GAME MODE for this fight. Boats will spread out before the start and begin when the horn blows.

If the driver is bubbled, they will remain on the boat. The boat is considered 'dead in the water' until they recover. No maneuvering during this time. Driver may be bandaged and aided.

If the fighter is bubbled, they may be bandaged and aided while the boat remains still in the water. No maneuvering during this time.

The last boat still floating with both on board will be declared winner. 

If no winner is declared after 1 hour of fighting, the boat with the most fighters remaining is the winner. Should there be a tie, a short race will determine the winner.

🍷 Bounty of the Vine Brewfest

The vats are bubbling, the fruits are ripe, and the brewers have thrown down their ladles in challenge. Join us at our early spring Harvest Brew Fest, where wines of all sorts will be showcased along side fruit and spring flavored drinks.

Sample kalana, aged wines, and drinks kissed with spring.

Revel in the salt-kissed winds with lively conversation and delectable treats.

Witness the Wine Trials, a display of the vast knowledge of our Brewers. Spring Vine Master (or Mistress) will be named.

Join us for another kind of bounty during this season. Thassa's Bounty Festival evolves into a land of romance, charm and mystery. Music will fill the air with magic and flirtation, teasing you to twirl like a tempest with your special someone. Catch your breath with refreshments and drinks unique to Port Shadows

The Völva shall bless the Harvest and gathering, calling forth luck, love, and long life from the depths and the heavens. Feast without restraint on Thassa's bounty and foods unique to Port Shadows. First course will be served after the blessing, Sunday February 15th at 10am SLT
