(CANOE ROUTE CITIES SERIES)

De La Crus.S  CITY   (FAMLEY OF CROOS )

DE LA CRUThey were a wealthy family from the south named De La Crus.

The That is the story of De La Crus.S  CITY

(parents adored their three children: two boys and a girl. The older boy was named Aurelius, the younger one Turbius, and the girl Valeria. The family name what Maximus from home De La Crus.

One day, the city was attacked by soldiers in shrouded desert clothing and masked cloths. The city burned. The father had to fight while the mother brought the three children to safety in a small boat where their slave was waiting. The others took the boat to their uncle, who raised them. In the following years, the uncle died of old age but left behind an island called De La Crus, which had long belonged to the family. The three children inherited the island, and one of the girls ruled it to ensure that the name De La Crus would continue. So they grew up on the island, and the eldest brother lovingly cared for the two siblings.

My series of visits to the cities of the Canoe Route continues.

After traveling for days along the route, passing through villages that were sometimes hostile, sometimes deserted, I finally stopped today in this city, clearly of Romanesque origin on planet Earth, with its squares and colonnades reminiscent of the great cities of Earth. Waiting on the dock, paying homage to me, was Ubar's companion, Lady Valeria, a beautiful woman dressed in finely embroidered robes.

She welcomed me with full honors; many soldiers in Romanesque armor were guarding the port and everywhere in that city, open to the sea but protected by the mountains to the north, she invited me into her home-office, told me the history of the city, and guided me in discovering the corners of that beautiful place.

Now I'm here in my oasis telling you all about my wonderful experience, and about my meeting with my only niece, Lady Dara, daughter of my brother Orlando, who passed away years ago. She was a guest and told me she's considering living in that little paradise.

I'll post the sketches I drew of the city and its best spots. I hope you'll enjoy them. Anyone can reach the city by following the canoe route or using the travel link I've added below.

(Thanks to everyone who follows me, even though lately some people claiming to be Vikings or Panthers have been using their village for royal dances, posing as Goreans and denying me the chance to notify them of the publication of a new article—but that's what Gor is all about.) Thank you.
