# **The Besnit Symposium of Scribes**
### *September 11–13, 2026*
The City of Besnit proudly invites the Scribes of Gor to gather for three days of scholarship, discussion, and fellowship at the Besnit Symposium of Scribes.
This symposium is dedicated to the pursuit and sharing of knowledge, bringing together Scribes from cities across Gor to exchange ideas, discuss the traditions and responsibilities of the Scribe Caste, and strengthen the bonds that unite those who preserve the written word.
While the symposium is centered upon the Scribe Caste, all are welcome to attend. Warriors, Merchants, Builders, Physicians, Initiates, Administrators, and citizens alike will find value in the wisdom and experience shared throughout the event.
## 📖 Symposium Presentations
Throughout the three-day symposium, distinguished Scribes will present lectures and discussions on topics including:
* Gorean law and legal traditions
* History and culture
* Administration and governance
* Record keeping and archives
* Education and mentorship
* Research and scholarship
* Other subjects chosen by our guest speakers
Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions, engage in thoughtful discussion, and exchange ideas with Scribes from across the Gorean world.
## ⚖️ Featured Event: Mock Trial
A highlight of the symposium will be a live **Mock Trial**, demonstrating the Gorean judicial process from investigation through judgment. Guests will witness the duties of Scribes, Magistrates, advocates, witnesses, and citizens as a fictional legal case unfolds before the assembly.
Whether you are new to Gorean roleplay or an experienced participant, this presentation promises to be both educational and entertaining.
