THE GREAT CITY OF VARN

      After Dara's departure from the Tashid oasis, I anxiously awaited her news, which was not long in arriving, she told me that she had finally found her suitor Sir Sigurdur, and that she had followed him on his journey to the city of Varn, located on an island in the middle of Thassa, towards the west.

   He sent me a message inviting me to the city to meet his next companion and to have my approval since I was his guardian, I didn't think twice, I prepared the necessary things for the journey and with a caravan I reached Baki, from there with a ship I arrived in Varn.

   I had already been to that big city many years ago, I had arrived following the painter who had moved there from Cartassa, opening a painting gallery, I had a job as a Magistrate and a house at the end of the road that led to the beach,

    Now I am still in the city of Varn, but soon I will have to leave to return to Tashid, I love the desert and I was born in the desert, in the oasis I have the new headquarters of the newspaper ''Gazette of Moon'' furthermore Lady Mae has assigned me a beautiful house in the residential area, and sooner or later I will return to the desert, for now I enjoy this beautiful city with large buildings supported by very high columns and its beaches and its forest,
